[size=]I downloaded Suse11 Gnome/KDE4 and tryed to install it, but first it takes a long time to and than it stops at the linux lines login. Last year I installed Suse10 and I had no troubles. Can I install vers.10 and than download vers.11 and install it over? where I get vers.11?[/size]
Is it failing during install? Or are you saying it boots up in console mode only? If so, it might be a problem with your graphics card config. Does booting into safe mode give you a basic graphical desktop?

than it stops at the end with login and the graphic site does not come
i tryed it a totally new laptop and its the same trouble. Beside it it takes a very long time
last year when I installed vers 10 there was no trouble. can I install vers.10 and download the vers11?
does it take a long time on your computer too?
Why not download 11.1 version and give it a try.

so, it is as Deano said: no graphics usually indicates a problem with
your graphics card…do a search of these fora

now, THAT sounds like you have faulty install media…did you check
the md5sum of the iso prior to burning the disk, and then check the
disk PRIOR to trying to install??

AH! you talk about SUSE11 and SUSE10…are those openSUSE 10.1 or
10.2 or 10.3 or 11.0 or 11.1…
or are they SUSE Enterprise Linux Desktop (aka: SLED)…
from where did you download, novell.com or opensuse.org??
if you are trying to install SLED 11 you are in the wrong forum, go to
forums.novell.com
if you are trying to install openSUSE 11.1 over openSUSE 10.x forget
it…you can read hundreds of post here saying to first do a full
backup, then move your /home to a separate partition, then do a fresh
install of 11.1 setting your old /home as your new home…

define “long time”…barring problems with graphics or hardware or
doing the online updates most folks are up and running in three
quarters of an hour, or less…
