I have downloaded the Zoom RPM package and the GPG public key and have verified that it has the correct Key ID. I have added the public key to my GPG keyring and have also put a copy into /var/cache/zypp/pubkeys but every time I try and install the RPM file it says it can not find the public key in order to check if the signature is correct.
Does anyone know what I am doing wrong? I have a Zoom meeting on Thursday so really need to get this sorted. Thanks.
I’m not sure what the “it” of “it says” specifically refers to; and why Zoom didn’t just install simply.
I downloaded the rpm after web searching “Zoom client.” After downloading, I opened nautilus and clicked the file. That opened Yast Software and it installed it without issue. As usual for a third party rpm, when the “abort, retry, ignore” box came up during the install process, I chose “ignore.” Works great.
If direct install doesn’t work, an alternative is to install it as a Flatpak. That works great too.
