Theres a question goin around my head for a certain time. Is it possible to install Win 7 on an external sata HD? And, most of all, is it possible to set up grub 2 making it recognize the new system installed on the external HD, making it bootable?

I don’t know, never install win7, but I think it will overwrite your

Typically, we do it the other way round, we install Windows first. I do not
know about the external drive. You could try, making a full backup of the
Linux side first, just in case.

If you can install it by hand, yes. Automatically with YaST, no.
