Your post seems a question, and this forum is not for questions. Use the
virtualization forum instead.

Please, Do not post anything else to this message. It will be moved to the correct location in ~ 60 minutes or so…

Thank You,

This Thread is now open in Virtualization. Thank you for your Patience in this matter.

Thank You,

It looks as if you are running as plain user. You have to run “vmplayer”
as root in a terminal to allow it to configure modules, the first time
or after you update the kernel. Then, when it prompts to run or create a
machine, exit and enter again as plain user.

Since you say you installed it correctly you might want to try this:

#vmware-modconfig --console --install-all

Now just in case that doesn’t work you could try uninstallation:

#vmware-installer -u vmware-player

Then re-install once again as root which would look like this:

#sh '/home/yourusername/Whereyouhave VMwarePlayer/VMware-Player-4.0.2-591240.x86_64.bundle'

Then after it’s done redo as root:

#vmware-modconfig --console --install-all

Should work now
