Installing the tablet

Hello, it’s me again after a long break. I still have problems with Linux and installing the tablet. I keep using the guide on this website:
Wacom USB tablet howto - openSUSE

I figured out that if I dont remove add these lines, it works, causes no problem since I don’t use GIMP

You will also need to add these lines to the server layout for the GIMP to use this tablet:
InputDevice “stylus” “SendCoreEvents”
InputDevice “eraser” “SendCoreEvents”
InputDevice “pad”
InputDevice “cursor” “SendCoreEvents”

However, minor problems have appeared!
-the tablet is able to reach all spots on the screen… almost, sometimes it doesnt, it’s so random and unexplained why sometimes it cannot reach some border spots
-whenever I raise the tablet stylus from the reach of sense, the cursor goes to the top left corner, it’s so annoying!

I can’t make any bit of sense of the rest of the guide, I don’t know what else to do. Any help?

I do not get the impression that there is anyone on the OpenSuse forums who enthusiastically uses the Wacom tablets;

delighted however if they appear out of the ether to answer your questions;

there is a special interest linux wacom tablet forum;

why don’t you try there?

Nabble - Linux Wacom Tablet Project forum

if you get useful answers, please post your learning back here on the forum; it would surely be great to have someone using wacom regularly

I discovered this site again

User:Dkukawka - openSUSE

User Dkukawka was working for Novell and had done a thesis on wacom tablets and linux he said; sounds like he can be contacted by email; he quotes his address in the above site; that might be helpful to you
