http://software.opensuse.org/search shows nothing for either the palemoon and slimjet web browsers, which I have used successfully on other distros and am hoping someone can instruct me as to how to install either or both on openSUSE Leap 14.1, which I am using on all my computers.

Bit too early for the Leap community repositories to have software like that available, unless someone loves them so much. Not only have you got the main browsers available you’ve also got individual desktop environment browsers (webkit) available (Rekonq, Epiphany, Qupzilla, Midori, etc).
That said both those browsers have their own tarballs with instructions by the looks of it. YMMV as to how well they integrate within a desktop environment though. Firefox goes through some pretty heavy customisation to get it to look how it does.
Thank you for your response. Although I have a number of web browsers installed, I use PaleMoon and Slimjet on other distros and want to use them on openSUSE Leap 42.1. And while the downloads include instructions, I found them to be somewhat unclear. Therefore I was hoping an openSUSE user that was familiar with either of them could help out.
Arch’s AUR has a PaleMoon build that I installed on Manjaro and SlimJet provides a .deb version, but not an rpm version to download.
I hope I made clear what I hoped to accomplish, this time.
Go to their page get the zip file it says is for Suse Download it.
Move it to a folder of your choice in my case that was /home/robbie/bin extract it there. Then as root do this:
geekoshome:~ # sh /home/robbie/bin/slimjet/flashpeak-slimjet
You’ll get something like this:
Admin access is needed to enable the sandbox for enhanced security. Choose 'Use sudo command' if you have sudo access on systems like ubuntu. Choose 'Use su command' if you have access to root account. If you don't have admin access, select 'Quit' and add the switch '--no-sandbox' to run Slimjet without sandbox (less secure).
1) Use sudo command
2) Use su command
3) Quit
Please select an option to proceed:2
Please input root password.
You’re already in root so pick option 2.
Then you’ll get something like this:
/home/robbie/bin/slimjet/flashpeak-slimjet: line 202: syntax error near unexpected token `>'
/home/robbie/bin/slimjet/flashpeak-slimjet: line 202: `exec > >(exec cat)'
geekoshome:~ # '
For me this meant it was in, enjoy!
BTW geekoshome is my PC’s name not part of root.

For palemoon, just extract the tarball in you home directory and run
it…?
../palemoon/palemoon
For slimjet, that will never appear on OBS as it’s a binary blob, no
source code… so again, download their tarball extract and
run…
../slimjet/flashpeak-slimjet

Thanks for showing me Palemoon I’m going to give it a run.
Meanwhile I installed it this way:
2.Then I copied it to then extracted it in my ~home/bin
3. After extraction there was a file called pminstaller.sh this I doulbleclicked
4.then I just OK’d my way through, there was prompt for root in there it’s OK to give it for Palemoon.
Palemoon website not only tells you what to do, it even has a video to demonstrate: http://linux.palemoon.org/download/installer/
Slimjet also tells you exactly what to do on the download page under “NOTE” (under the tarballs)
Like I said, whether either will actually look any good in something like KDE is debatable, but they should both work fine.
