Installing OpenSUSE 12.1 without creating separate partition alongside Windows?

May somebody help me with installing OpenSuse 12.1 without creating separate partition. I have two drives in NTFS, one is the system partition for windows 7. I want to install opensuse in the same system partition. I did not quite understand the “expert partition manager” in the Live Installer. Can somebody reply and help as soon as possible? Thanks

I think you don’t quite understand about partitioning
Have a look at my guide

The most important information we need is the fdisk info asked for in that guide.
You need to get Parted Magic (Or if the openSUSE media you have is a Live CD you can use that)
In fact, I advise you to try a Live CD if you didn’t already. It will give you a good indication of how your hardware is suited to openSUSE

(a question for CAF, not the OP): i can’t understand why/how the expert
partitioner shows NTFS partitions as “Linux Native”–is that something
new, or a bug?

DD
openSUSE®, the “German Engineered Automobiles” of operating systems!

Unfortunately these don’t help really.

If you are using a live CD
Open a terminal
type: su -
(hit enter)

then type: fdisk -l
(Hit enter) (That’s a lower case L)

I also need to know how much free space is on sda2 and sda3
Because you have to use space from either one of those

Odd isn’t it
Looks like a bug
Well spotted DD

No, that can not be.
