Hi,
I am trying to install a new setup of Leap 15.0 on a HP Proliant DL360 G7. It has 8 SCSI drives. I created 2 separate logical drives in the array manager. I am able to install the OS, but it won’t subsequently boot on the hard drive when I remove the USB key.
I have been looking for a couple days now for a solution. Do I need to install some SCSI drivers?
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
After a little more digging, and about 27 views on my topic, I discovered I needed to follow this little caveat:
**“Booting a configuration where /boot resides on a software RAID 1 device is supported, but it requires to install the boot loader into the MBR (Boot Loader Location › Boot from Master Boot Record). Having /boot on software RAID devices with a level other than RAID 1 is not supported.”
**
Seems that was the only thing preventing me from it actually booting to the hard drives.
Anyway, thanks for at least looking. I’ll be working on my in home server setup now.
Cheers and happy Linuxing
