Installing from OpenSUSE DVD on machine with no DVD drive

I have

  • an openSUSE 11.1 DVD.

  • a SUSE machine which can read DVDs, and which has USB.

  • an old Ubuntu machine which has no DVD drive, but which has USB.

  • an external USB hard-disk drive.

Is it possible to create a hard-disk image of the SUSE DVD, and install SUSE from that image on the old machine, either from the external drive or copied to an internal drive? Or multiple CDs?

If not, what’s the best way to do it? (Preferably without downloading.)

Hi
have a look here as there are a few options for you on how to install
