Installing earlier versions of software

Suse 11.0, x86.

I am trying to roll back my WINE from 1.1.13 to something earlier. I would rather not compile anything. I have searched high and low (documentation, searching forum) and have turned up nothing. How do I PROPERLY roll back an installation of an app?

Help is appreciated.

Yast, Software management, search for the package you want to downgrade, mark it as “Update”. Now go to the “Versions” tab in the lower right pane and check the version you want to backrev to.

perhaps we could get this written somewhere in documentation?

I assume it is in there, my problem is: I cannot find any Yast2 manual on my KDE4.1 system at all

I checked the online manual, I did not check the installed manual (my bad?). I was originally meaning the online manual.

Good idea. No idea how to achive that, though. I guess I’d open a bug report. Anyone with a better idea?
