Installing DomU crashes XEN

Good evening, all of you.

I’m trying to install XEN on a e235-Server (older IBM type).

It’s not able to do full virtualisation, so i’m installing Paravirtualisation.

The whole install-process runs absolutely clean and easy until the newly installed DomU tries to restart. On the DomU-Console it says “Restarting System” - at this point the Hypervisor seems to give in. On the Virtual Machine Manager it shows no longer Domain-0, only the localhost shows up in “connecting” state. Stopping or rebooting hangs on “stopping Xen Domains”, even after 15 Minutes.

After restarting the hard way the Manager shows the newly created DomU in shutdown state, Errormessage “Kernel not found”.
A Image File is created, but dead.

I then tried to install to a partition, ext3-formattet but not mounted - the partition lost the formatting while install, no files on it.

What’s going wrong? Any additional paramteres or similar for testing, any idea?

Sincerely
Shardan

Some additional Info to above post:

I’ve tricked a little bit with the system and stopped the “Countdown” to reboot after install manually, then stopped the new guest and rebooted the whole server - this time the Domain-0 remains active without crash, but the guest is unable to start:

"Missing file “/tmp/kernel.hFg_5s” or similiar. /tmp is not on a separate partition, about 25 b free space should be enough…

I don’t know whats wrong here…
