installing ATOM on OpenSuse - which method & packages?

hello dear experts,

installing ATOM on OpenSuse - which method & packages?

btw - it is intended to work with pyhton.

what would you do - which extensions would you add!?

love to hear from you

hello again,

I_A mentioed here in this thread https://forums.opensuse.org/showthread.php/507843-How-to-install-Github-s-Atom-text-editor-on-opensuse-13-2

try installing it with zypper or rpm

sudo zypper in/path/to/atom.rpm

or

sudo rpm -i /path/to/atom.rpm

zypper is the preferred method as it will automatically download extra dependencies, if dependencies are not satisfied rpm will refuse to install. I don’t have that rpm but the reason you can’t install it with a double click is you don’t have the sign key.

well i give this a try.

thanks for all the great help in this forum.
