installing a usb modem

I have Opensuse 11 kde4 and a zoom 1064 usb modem. The directions in the book don’t work. This is the error I get when I try to send a fax from kdprintFax using mgetty as an agent.

Sending fax to 15136720229 ()

Sending to fax using: /usr/bin/faxspool -F ‘rowland’ ‘15136720229’ ‘/tmp/kde-rowland/kdeprintfax_0TX20JWc’ -C -
/usr/bin/faxspool: cannot open ‘-C’

I need this fax running soon becauses this is how I communicate with my doctor. I have searched endless hours for help and at a dead end now. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I checked and I do not have a file usr/bin/faxspool How would I set that up?

I did find two files fax2ps and fax2tiff.

I tried writing these files into command line with no avail.

Is it a dial-up usb modem or broadband usb modem ? As far as i know, with broadband you cannot do faxing ( i may be wrong )

Andy

It’s a fax modem

I have up to all I need to do is find the modem. I have everything else configured…
