installed suse 11.4 Suse opens Windows 7 will not.

Toshiba Satellite L455D-S5976 Installed Suse Windows will not. Suse has 2 options to open the reg and the secure. There is a windows 1 and a Windows 2. I used Windows 1. It went to my Toshiba screen attempted to load then died and went to Linux which would be fine if I was ready to be in Linux. Went to Windows 2 same and failed. Then I got an option to open windows through its safety config. choose safe with network connection. Failed. Back to linux. Have other computers in the house but none with windows 7 can access net. Thanks

Do you mean to say you have installed openSUSE and now windows will not boot?
Did you defrag windows before installing openSUSE?

and does Windows 7 appeared in GRUB menu?

No I did not, I blythly drove it right into the wall and should have listened to my inner voice to be cautious. make back ups and all such but NNOOOO. I had to rush in simply because I figured I had no problems rolling back other Linuxs why should this one be a problem. My huburace my pain. But, help would be appreciated anyways since it is my work computer. Ya I should have used the others but i said hey I have never installed it on a windows 7 machine lets give it a try. Ok ok, help please. In trueth I really do want to get away from windows as much as I can thank you for any help you can provide.

yes it does

If you want to fix windows, the path I think is long and complex. Do you want to work thru it?
Tell me if you have a proper windows install DVD

if it appears there must be a conflict of boot loaders of OpenSuSe and Windows, im working with CentOS and i had such problem, than i enter to grub.conf file and make some changes there, i dont have CentOS now and can’t show what i did, when you created patitions for Windows and Opensuse, what did you do than? did you try to install Windows 7 at first?
when you created partitions for windows and linux. you should install Windows at first and than Linux
and your problem is in boot loader, Linux boot loader has more privilege than Windows, i’ll try to give you explain with pictures soon

and your problem is in boot loader, Linux boot loader has more privilege than Windows, that’s why Windows can’t load, in the grub.conf file Windows and Linux are on the same number, and you should increase Windows number by one number, and this grub.conf file in OpenSuSe is in /etc/grub.conf, and in this grub.conf file there will be (hd0,0) such thing and this should increase by one number: (hd0,1), but you shouldn’t touch linux (hd0,0) because you will damage your system , only make chages on windows bootloader and try to do this with root privilege i dont have DVD rom now, so i cant test that on OpenSuSe
