Installed Gnome 3.6 / not on desktop selection list

Hi,

I’m new to openSUSE… when I initially installed it from DVD, I left it on default KDE desktop, and then later decided I wanted to try Gnome.
I installed GS3.6, but now I don’t know how to log into it… on the login screen there is no Gnome option in the desktop selection box.

How do I log into gnome?

In Yast software management select patterns then select the gnome pattern

Honestly, you are probably going to get in a mess, because people are having trouble with 3.6, even experienced users.

As has been suggested, you must make sure you have the gnome pattern installed and used the switch on 3.6
