installation

I am not sure if I posted this thread before.

I want to install openSuse 10.3/11.0 on my son’s computer which already has windows AND another linux.

Shall I use lvm or mannual for installing the partitions?

Thanks in advance.

You just need to decide what space you are going to use and which distro do you want to handle the booting. Currently can we assume the distro you now have is doing that? So do you want SUSE to take over that?
Custom partitioning should allow you to manage the install properly. If you are unsure what to do with your current situation, maybe you should boot linux and do this from a su terminal:

fdisk -l

Thanks, caf.
I am still at home in India. My son, who is in Canada, has offered me use of a computer with linux when I’ll be with him. When I’ll be there to face real problems I’ll make contact again. I just wanted to be armed with the tools.
