I try to install OpenSuse 11 on a virtual server (Microsoft Virtual server 2005).
I downloaded the ISO image file.
The server boots on image and I have the first screen with choices of installation.
When I choose Installation, the window “Loading Linux kernel” appears, go to 100% and reboot the server.
And the server comes again to the first screen of installation.
I tested all F5 (Kernel choices) possible.
Nothing.
No error message.
I have been able to install OpenSuse on Virtual PC up until version 10.3. This week I plan to try to update it from there. installing 11.x hasn’t worked so far.
It won’t help you but I experienced the same problem.
I tried with the last beta of ubuntu, same thing.
