Hello I’m doing a clean install of opensuse tumbleweed, but the process stay on search for system files and not continue, the pc is not freezze.
the installation stay stuck on this section, i did a format to the hard with a live cd and try install on the clean disk, but is stay stuck on search system files.
ppl help, i downloaded 10 times the iso in different way using different downloads manager, And yet cant install tumbleweed, is stuck on the System Probing - Search system file, but if i try install leap is process normally. and i try the network iso and stuck in the same section.
I don’t know what the problem might be here, but perhaps worth trying a Live GeckoLinux build first…

The rolling editions are based on openSUSE TW.
If you can boot from a Live system, at least you’ll know it’s not hardware related.
Well,work but tumbleweed cant be install it yet.

yes, tomorrow i will record with my cell the installation process of tumbleweed and post it, with the ctrl + altf + F#.
Are you using GPT or MBR here?

It might be useful if you can boot from a live distro and show us the partition info concerning the HDD you’re trying to install to eg using parted.

I will try burn the iso on DVD to look if the problem is the snapshots ISO cant be installed using USB, current ISO openSUSE-Tumbleweed-DVD-x86_64-Snapshot20170228-Media.iso
I was using GPT and MBR, both stuck and network, PXE; all media that i can use to install a OS, only left do Zero Wipe and try.
ok i found in what part stuck is analyzing the / partition, but I don’t understand why.
So i used UBCD to format the disk and install tumbleweed, tumbleweed have a bug with analyzing the files of the root partition and stay on a loop that doesn’t let continue the installation process
