installation problems...........memory problems............

okay …
i tried to install wine windows loader in my opensuse 13.2 and i got the the folllowing error message

Subprocess failed. Error: RPM failed: Can’t fork (Cannot allocate memory).

what does that mean and i can’t install my wine so is there a solution to it

how did you try to install wine? via yast? do you have enough space allocated in your partitions? the command df -k would provide insight on that. I just installed wine on a vm of 13.2 and i had no problems. it just complained about missing mono but it offered the option to download it. so no issues that i can see with wine. it has to do with your hardware capability.

More info needed, as pointed out.

i have the repository of wine but i didn’t tried 1-click install either

i have like…
20gb of home and a double of it in root partition
and also wine is like the very first application i tried to install (after doing some security updates)…
I think maybe i have wrong repo installed…
'Cause earlier today i tried to install vlc via yast it installed prfectly.
But when i tried to install steam it did installed but can’t find its icon in opensuse
