installation of sqlsrv fails

I’m using PHP 7.2.5 on LEAP 15.1.
I’m attempting to install the “sqlsrv” driver using the “pecl install sqlsrv” command. I’m a rank newbie when it comes to using “pecl”. Can someone examine the text of the installation log (provided below) and help me determine what I need to do to get the installation to complete? It seems to be a problem with a the compiler, but I’m not certain if I need to install a different compiler or just provide an appropriate tag. Which would lead to the next question(s) - which compiler or which tag?

Thanks in advance for any and all help provided.

Looks like Microsoft posted full instructions for installing on openSUSE 15.x

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sql/connect/php/installation-tutorial-linux-mac?view=sql-server-ver15

I haven’t installed this driver before (used to connect an application to Microsoft SQLserver), if you run into problems or have questions, post what is unclear.

TSU

Those are the instructions I’m currently following (in the SuSE section). After a closer inspection of the log file, I found that there was a system configuration that was keeping the compilation from running.

Now I’m encountering a different problem, but I’ll try to run that one down and if I need to I’ll create a new post.

Thanks for responding.
