Hello, I am trying to install Mozilla Firebird, but it fails in YAST2 with the message:
MozillaThunderbird.3.0.1-9.1.x86_64.rpm could not be installed:
Subprocess failed: Error RPM failed: warning:
/tmp/MozillaThunderbird.rpm: HeaderV3DSAsignature:NOKEY,
keyID 766da614 error failed dependencies:
mozilla-nspr>=4.8.3 is needed by MozillaThunderbird.3.0.1-9.1.x86_64

The system is 11.2. Anybody able to provide a hint for a solution?

Thanks, Jan Christian

When installing the Thunderbird-.rpm, you don’t do it via the correct repository. rpm says that a dependecy is missing (‘mozilla-nspr’) which can be fetched using the Mozilla-repo.

zypper ar -f Mozilla

Hello gopiuskalle,

thanks for the suggestion ! Unfortunately, it did not work out, YAST2 did exit with the same error message. Any other suggestion?

Best regards, Jan Christian

Please post output of:

zypper lr

rpm -qa | grep nspr

Hello Knurpht, here is the output you requested:

I goofed, the correct title is "INSTALLATION OF MOZILLA THUNDERBIRD FAILS. I am sincerely sorry for the incident!:shame::shame::shame:

Also, I now was able to install Thunderbird via the once-click install at page (search “thunderbird”).

Best regards and with all the apologies I can think of,
Jan Christian
