I would like to install the printer kyocera ecosys p7040cdn also in my leap 42.2, I cannot know anything more about the printer than the following pictures.
http://paste.opensuse.org/view/download/32284149
http://paste.opensuse.org/view/download/10333243
http://paste.opensuse.org/view/download/28027096

I know ip address, but it is not fixed, it is assigned by the dhcp and it vary day by day and I cannot modify the settings of printer.

I downloaded the drivers from kyocera and installed the printer using IP address and it worked, but the IP address is changed and I had to reinstall the printer.

How can I install the printer in yast>printer>add>connection wizard???

what I have to insert and where?

manythanks, ciao  Pier

I intend this connection wizard:
http://paste.opensuse.org/view/download/46940483
which connection type and where I have to insert the port name=fe80::217:c8ff:fe02:81e7
or whatever else

Can’t you reserve the desired IP address to the printer’s MAC in the DHCP server/router?

no, I can’t :frowning:
