Installation of g77 / intel fortran

Hi everyone,

I need to compile a f77 program with my new computer (dell / x86_64 / opensuse 11). The problem is that gcc does not compile properly my programm (too much errors)

-> gcc : Failed

Then I tried to used g77, using compat-g77. During compliation an error appeared: “cannot find -lgcc_s”. And I didn’t find any solutions for this problem.

-> g77 : Failed

Then I tried to install the intel fortran compiler. During the installation, there were several errors. It was not able to recognise:
my version of opensuse 11
my version of glibc
my version of binutils

Does anyone has the solution to one of these problems? Or do you know how to compile .f77 in another way?

Thanks for your help

Philippe

PS: I am not a experimented user neither of opensuse 11 nor linux systems in general
