Installation failure

I tried to install on a win XP box from a CD. When I boot up partion choices are XP & linux. When I select linux it gives:

initrd/opensuse/initrd

error15: file not found

When I go back to the CD & try again I get

DOwnload error initrd (send request error)

click ok to abort installation

CD?? are you doing a net install? you must have a reliable Internet connection. More information needed
