install xen on 11.1

Hi, everyone,
I got stuck when install xen hypervisor. I choose YaST and install Xen, but can not boot correctly.
Error information is like:
" Want me to fall back to /dev/sda2(Y/n)?

Trying manual resume from /dev/sda2…"
Any one has experience to help this problem.
Thanks in advance.

Hi, everyone,
some guy can give some comment?
following is more message when booting process halted.

“Waiting for device /dev/disk/scsi/sata_Hitachi_xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx”

“could not find /dev/disk/by_id/scsi-sata_hitachi_xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx”

then it says “want me to fall back to dev/disk/by_id/scsi-sata_hitachi_xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx (y/n)?”

To which I respond with a y, then it comes up with the error

“sh:no job control in this shell”

Thanks again!

Sounds like your Xen kernel is lacking the modules (drivers) for your harddrive controller and thus cannot recognize it.

Usually these are loaded in the initrd and if you just change the kernel the system should automatically use them in the Xen kernel as well.

Thank you!
I think so. But can you give me more detail instruction such as which driver, how to get it, etc:nerd:?

I’m having a similar issue. After installing 11.1 OpenSuSE, I installed / configured the hypervisor inside of Yast, and it told me to reboot to the newly created xen kernel. When I attempt to boot to the xen kernel, I do not get any visible errors on the screen. The system simply reboots itself immediately, without any hesitation, or any error messages being displayed. Every time it comes to the GRUB boot loader, if I choose the xen kernel, it does the same thing, over and over again.
