install the system using text-mode

peace upon you every one

i posted a question on the hardware/laptop problems section about a persisting problem during installation which you can read the whole post here Built in display dim

but it seems no one gonna help there so i decided to install the system using text-mode

so after i hit F3 and chose text mode and log in as “root” and get the prompt the question is what is next …???

note i tried

startx

and i get the gnome live cd but when try to install the same problem happens ,so i’m looking for a full “ANSI stander I/O”:wink: installation

i tried yast2 live-installer and setting up the system now stand by to see if i will finish it

If we don’t know the solution we can not help. We are users, not paid support.

However, it seems you already installed using another monitor, so
installing again in text mode will not help.

You should try saying what video device you have; depending on it being
nvidia, ait, or intel, try changing the video driver as others have
explained many times. Nomodeset, propietary drivers, etc.

it have GUI installation every where …!!!

and sbin/yast2 live-installer is working i hope…

try changing the video driver

hmm how can i do that during installation?

You should try saying what video device you have

its Intel HD (CoreI3) all system spec here hp

I understand that you said that you already installed using a CRT:

Well, first you should search the forum for what has been said about that
device. Then, if not found, post a question about that.
