Hello, I’m trying to install opensuse 11.1 on a Compaq 6715s, but the installation stops after minutes. 10.3 worked, but only with acpi=off. This causes the fan to work all the time. I’m not so experienced.
Going to need some more information, exactly when does the installation stop?
Installation/11.1 DVD Install - openSUSE might be useful, refer to a screenshot there so we know till which part it does work will give a better indication of what is going wrong.
