I has installed to me a SuSE 11.1. In preceding versions, so, e.g. 9.x there was in the YaST under software the menu dot “Installation into Directory”. In 11.1 I do not find this any more. Was this repositioned, is there not any more? How do I still get?
I am sorry,
maybe I have expressed myself a little wrong. I have to find no problem the YaST, but the problem the menu dot “Install into directory” in the YaST. This was to be found earlier under software in the YaST, however, does not exist in my SuSE 11.1 installation. Furthermore I use the KDE and not gnome.
i believe maybe you want to save the YaST downloaded RPMs to a
directory for later install or use…correct?
that capability does not exist in the present YaST…
but, i can’t explain why it is now not possible by simply selecting
that option…and, i don’t know an easy way to do it…
Hi.
I would like to install a complete SuSE 11.1 in a directory, this option gave as already mentioned, with former SuSE versions. See, for example, here: http://files.opensuse.org/opensuse/en/archive/5/5d/20080921153120!Yast_control_center-software.png The third icon from On top in the right column. The destination is to be used it this directory (Linux installed in the directory 11.1) then for PXE boot. Up to now thus it functioned. Now I would like to make this, however, also under SuSE 11.1.
