Install on Compact Flash

Hi all

I would like to install openSUSE on a Compact Flash card which will be running on a Intel Atom N270 Mini-ITX board. I am very new to Linux and although I have successfully installed openSUSE on a hard disk based PC (which worked great) I am not too sure where to begin for Compact Flash.

I have searched for documentation but found little of use. Could anyone offer me any pointers as to where to start or any documentation they may have?

Many thanks

Have a look at Boot and run Linux from a USB flash memory stick | USB Pen Drive Linux.
Principles are the same.
If you want your own suse, then it depends on how big the CF card is, and how you want to boot it. A normal Linux install needs an ext file system. The live version runs on a dos partition.
