Install manjaro in a separate disk with two opensuse and windows installed in the first

Hi, as my friend’s laptop bricked I have a 1TB ssd to add in my laptop with two opensuse and windows, so I would like to test manjaro or tumbleweed or slowroll installing it in this new disk, I found something in the forum but quite old, around 2017, reading in the web I found some hints like to mount and not format the UEFI partition I’m using in the first disk, is this ok?
have you some hints to not brake my first disk system?
and install manjaro or tumbleweed or slowroll in the second disk?

You can create 2nd ESP on 2nd drive.

manythanks,
yes, but what happens at the ESP on the first disk??
which one the system start from?

It depends on the BIOS. On my system with an EFI partition on each disk, I can use either. Hitting F12 during boot gives me a BIOS boot menu.

Whatever BIOS you use there will always be one boot option that will be the first one. It is usually the OS that has been installed last or for which bootloader has been updated most recently.
