install locked in Presario F500 Notebook

I have a big question:

i insert the DVD, i do all steps in the install asistant, etc, etc… but when the install begin to “install” the packages it finish locked… dead, whatever the mouse doesn’t work and i can be waiting for a long, long, long time and “nothing else matter”?:confused::confused::confused::confused::confused:

Try the “acpi=off” parameter.

Nestor, you can get this from the installation menu, it’s under one of the F keys. Or you can type it in the box below after highlighting “Install” in the menu.
