Install KDE from XFCE

I’m new to openSUSE, running it on XFCE through VirtualBox.

I’m trying to get KDE installed. I followed the directions at this link, which has the following line:

zypper install -t pattern kde4 kde4_basis

I ran it (as sudo, otherwise it doesn’t work) and got the following response:

`kde4` not found in package names
`kde4_basis` not found in package names

I’ve looked in YaST but there are many packages with KDE in the name, it’s not obvious which is the ‘central’ installer.

How do I install KDE from an XFCE installation?

Thanks

leap comes with KDE5 You can install KDE4 but must add additional ropes.

I know, but I opted for XFCE on the initial installation. I want to try out KDE.

Thanks

Note then number 4 and5 leap come with KDE5 not KDE4

Easiest is to go to Yast -software management patterns and install the plasma/KDE patterns
