Hello,
I’m trying to install suse latest version on my laptop. Livecd starts ok then i choose the proper entry in the menu. The green screen appears and the white bar is filling but it quickly hangs.
i tried noacpi acpi=off and so on without any success.
Can someone help?

Before installing did you perform a media check ?
Did it give error messages ?
What are the spec of you’re laptop ?

the error is kinda explicit, but even the acpi switches seem not to be usefull:
ACPI error (evgpe-0705): no handler or method for GPE 0], disabling event [20070126]
GPE can be [0], [7], [8, [A], [F], [10] …
Hi,
i’ve tested with linux mint latest version and did not have any issue, so it seems to come from the opensuse.
Any one got an idea?
