install fluxbox

hi all,

I read this great article about fluxbox and other lightweight desktops.
I think that’s great, I’m not so keen on plasmascreens and so on.

My Question is this: when I install OpenSuse 11.2, I can choose betweek gnome, kde, xfce, x-window, and minimal server install.

How can I end up with an OpenSuse with ONLY fluxbox or another lightweigt - so without installing gnome or kde ?

thanks for the reply.

I had a look at that site, seems to be mostly about livecd’s

I already tried out the desktops, just looking for the least diskspace-consuming install - method.

  • Install minimal system (with or without X, doesn’t make a big difference)

  • Add respective repo and install fluxbox

Software.openSUSE.org

  • You’re done

Those liveCDs are installable.
