I’ve just tried installing 11.0 on my Inspiron 9100. It failed when trying to install the kernel (pae), initrd and grub. I thought these issues had been addressed before the public release.
When you state “you thought these issues had been addressed”, are you referring to a specific bug report? If so, can you reference that?
Did you try a safe settings installation?
Did you conduct an md5sum check of your downloaded 11.0, by comparing
a. md5sum posted on openSUSE web site, with
b. md5sum calculated on hard drive of downloaded ISO file, with
c. md5sum calculated of burned CD/DVD?
