Install Disk Not Detected During Reboot

I’m currently running 12.2 and downloaded 13.2 and written to DVD. The DVD is not detected during reboot, i.e., the install page is not shown and the screen comes with the normal 12.2 layout. Is there something missing.

You need to burn to the DVD as ISO If you just copy it it does not work. Should be be an an option in the burn software

Thank you for the reply. Still having problems. I gave up using Windows DVD writing. In Linux I downloaded openSuse 13.2 and then used Brasero to write image to the DVD. The DVD is still not detected. The boot sequence looks OK as the DVD drive is first. What am I missing.

If from the running Linux you list the DVD contents, what do you see?

You see that FILE?

Then you did not burn the image. You copied it, as file, to the DVD.
That will never work.

I used Brasero and used the “Burn Image” option. Is there another option I should used. What should I see.

Something like this:

ARCHIVES.gz GPLv3.txt autorun.inf content.key dosutils license.tar.gz openSUSE13_1_NET.exe
ChangeLog INDEX.gz boot control.xml gpg-pubkey-307e3d54-4be01a65.asc ls-lR.gz suse
EFI README content directory.yast gpg-pubkey-3dbdc284-4be1884d.asc media.1
GPLv2.txt SuSEgo.ico content.asc docu images openSUSE13_1_LOCAL.exe
minas-tirith:~ #

The above is the 13.1 image. The 13.2 one is similar.

When I use Files, I believe I see everything there.

I got it now. I changed the boot order. I saw a new one UEFI or something like that and put that first.
Thank you

Sorry, but I don’t understand what you are saying. Could you expand?

We are not there, we don’t see what you see. You have to describe things
in detail.
