burnt onto a dvd using poweriso popped it in and booted off cd started to install and then when it started it loaded fine then i get an error saying:
Unable to create repository from URL ‘cd:///?device=/dev/8r0’.
and ideas?

Sounds like a bad dvd did you check the md5sum?
You can also do a dvd check at the start of the installation
