input method fcitx (or ibus) under gnome (3?) stopped working

Hi,

“fcitx” used to work fine under Tumbleweed / gnome desktop by accessing “fcitx-config”.
In a tumbleweed machine that was recently set up (for the last three months),
fcitx-config does not seem to work.

ps aux | grep fcitx

gives “…/usr/share/fxitx/dbus/dameon.conf”
and " /usr/bin/fcitx-dbus-watcher …"

Also,

set | grep fcitx

lists
GTK_IM_MODULE=fcitx
INPUT_METHOD=fcitx
QT_IM_MODULE=fcitx
XMODIFIERS=@im=fcitx

Yet, I cannot switch the keyboard.
Accessing gnome setup “Keyboard” does not seem to provide actual info on how-to-switch under “Input Source Switching”.
I have heard that gnome automatically configures ibus. However, I do not know exactly how.

Could any one help me find the way?

Great many thanks in advance.
