Input-leap to replace barrier?

apparently, the barrier package is long abandoned and has been superceded by a fork maintained by the main barrier devs - input-leap. More information about the change here

so i’d like to request that input-leap gets added to the repositories, as it’s likely to be the only place updates will occur

to any package maintainers who may see this - thank you for considering

This is the openSUSE user forum. Maintainers don’t read here (except a few handselected ones).

Btw, deskflow is available for Tumbleweed and mainatined actively. It supports Wayland which input-leap does not.

thanks for the tip! i’ve managed to get deskflow running (after some firewall headaches… make sure to expose ports 24800-24801 via udp/tcp if you’re stumbling upon this thread, as there is no firewalld config in the tumbleweed repos for deskflow)

I didn’t know deskflow was a fork of barrier, so this is exactly what I wanted. thank you for your help! I also don’t know where to post so maintainers would read it though - checking the OBS repo pointed me here pretty much

thanks for pointing that out. will add a firewalld service file when I get around to it.
