I am using tumbleweed 15.5 and Inkscape 1.3.2 (091e20ef0f, 2023-11-25)
everytime the screen shuts off from inactivity (pc is still running) inkscape becomes complete unusable. The screen shows the screen that is behind and does not maximize or minimize. all I can do is close it and restart it.
Any ideas?
I don’t have any solution to your specific problem but perhaps changing the settings could help you out.
If you’re plugged in, then disable automatic screen blank and sleep but not screen lock.
If you’re on battery, disable automatic screen blank but keep sleep/suspend and screen lock enabled.
Like in your other topic, you should first try to find out what you are running: Tumbleweed or Leap 15.5.
Then, when this is about using a desktop, you should explain which desktop environment you use.
We are really not clairvoyant.
My apologies. I am using Tumbleweed and KDE.
I am using it in a desktop computer, no batteries. I just have my computer set to shut the screens off after 10 mins of inactivity.
When that happens inkscape fails.
I could leave the screen on all the time, but I never had that issue when I used leap.
