I am new here and to Linux. I downloaded openSUSE 1.4 and it installed with no problem. It soon opened a window telling me there were 144 updates available. I clicked “install” and another window opened. It is a tall, skinny window named “Additional confirmation required”. It is composed of several smaller windows each listing some updates. I assume there is a button at the bottom I have to click but I cannot get to the bottom! There is no scroll bar, my up/down windows and my mouse wheel do not scroll down to the bottom either. I would appreciate some help. Thanks
Press the ALT key and click with the left mouse button into the window, keep
it pressed and you can move the window outside the screen borders until you
see the buttons.

One of the updates fixes that bug >:(
Close all of those windows. Open Yast (will require the root password). Go to “online update”. That will install the updates.
The other way, with all of those windows you describe, is to position the mouse over the long window, then hold down ALT, and drag the window upward. You might have to repeat several time to get to the “accept” button. However, using Yast and online-update will be smoother.
The Alt left click did it. Thanks. I see there is a learning curve here.

In fact you were the victim of a bug (which was already known and seems to
be fixed now), but it is always good to know how to work around.
Glad it worked for you.
