I haven’t yet tried other applications that involve ripping CDs, but it seems like K3b rips at a fairly low speed. Using the same CD drive in Ubuntu with Sound Juicer, I could rip a CD in 2 minutes or so, and I would hear the drive spinning at full speed. Now, it never does that, and it takes more like 5 to 7 minutes at least. I can’t seem to find any controls on the CD rip speed though. Is there a way to reconfigure this? I don’t think I have drive issues, because I could watch a DVD just fine. I haven’t tried burning a CD though, I may try that soon and post back…but any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Dan
