@jarome remember I’m running a client, not in a browser, plus I don’t use Firefox… I probably need to setup another test system…
The Firefox window is simply not maximized…look how the symbols differ between maximized and not maximized. The picture in the first post shows that the window is not maximized.
(Tested on an up to date Leap 16 Beta with Firefox from official Leap repo…no border…)

No border when maximized. I was unable to install Chrome. Could not find glibc
It was maximized. I uninstalled Firefox and reinstalled it, and get the same border.
Uninstalling a package under linux does not remove (broken) user settings…
Standard question: Did you test with a fresh user profile?
We can’t help you if you don’t provide informations like terminal output. Google Chrome installs fine on Leap 16…
