In 11.4 Audacity doesn't convert MP4 files to MP3. It did in 11.3

In 11.3 Audacity converted MP4s to MP3s with no problems. I know I am likely missing having a codec it can use installed but I have no clue as to what it is is. Kaffeine plays them so I know a codec is there. I want to convert them to MP3 so I can put them on my phone. I am grabbing the MP4s off the internet via a firefox plugin and that’s the way the files come as MP4s.

Have you tried the ‘pacpl’
With the dolphin plugin to give a context menu it’s just right click > convert to

This is highly satisfactory and much a simpler method of conversion.
