What is does is what resulted in my case in reinstalling my complete windows system because the installer broke the bootmanager from Vista en there was no way to get it back except by completely reinstalling windows.
What it does is installing a mini grub loader on your C drive and it replaces your windows bootloader with a linux bootloader.
Now each time you start your pc it is no longer loading windows or whatever was on it but will start loading the opensuse 11 installer.
The only thing you can do here is installing opensuse on your pc by resizing your windows partition(s) in the installer so that you have a bootloader that can launch windows as well as suse after the installation.
I was also curious in what this windows installer could do but I had no intention of installing suse 11 on that pc.
Result → 2 days of work reinstalling Vista because the Vista Repair function was not able to put a decent working Vista bootloader in place. I tried with Acronis MBR images, fdisk /mbr, multiple partitioning tools to fix the mbr, an Ultimate Boot CD etc… Nothing worked, it kept loading the suse installer when I switched on the pc.
so if you want to use it, make sure your intention is to install the thing or you’ll break your system.
