Importing partition setup can reformat your /home partition by default

Selecting the “Import partition setup” button will import settings that will reformat your / and more importantly your /home partition.
To resolve this always check your settings for each partition. It will show the “F” (format) next to / and /home partition.

Click on the edit partition button and deselect format the partition. If this is not done you will lose all of your data on your /home partition.

IMPORTANT UPDATE

The bug has been fixed for the final release of openSUSE 12.2.

The bug is reported as having been fixed. We will find out for sure when 12.2 final is released.

(I’m just being a bit fussy with details - sometimes fixes go astray).
