Mac OS is essentially BSD, and the openSUSE ISOs are writable to flash
drives using dd.

So, on a mac, you should be able to do:

dd if=file.fil of=[devicename]

You just need to determine the device name used by OSX.

Então, em um mac, você deve ser capaz de fazer: dd if = file.fil of = [devicename] Você só precisa determinar o nome do dispositivo usado pelo OSX. No, you need to use the format I specified, but the parameter on of=
needs to be the device name on the Mac. I’m not sure exactly how to get
that device name (I have a Macbook Pro, so I can try to figure it out
when I’ve got a spare minute). :slight_smile:

You have to be very careful when you do this, because you might
mistakenly overwrite the wrong device if you specify the wrong device
file.

You don’t use the ] characters - I used that to specify a replacible
parameter, namely, the device name that’s used on the mac for the USB
drive.

Yes, that should work just fine. The openSUSE images are designed to be
written either to a DVD or to a flash drive. Other distributions or ISO
files may not be.

As Jim mentioned, take care with making sure you write to the correct device.

This might help you with that

good friends think it is now clear.
I have an image mounted to hackintosh on a flash drive ready for installation! most want tranformala in image.raw, think it would be this comado that you should use?

if=[DISK IMAGE NAME] of=[PENBOOTAVEL]

         if=image.raw of=/dev/diskN

I think now I am left more doubts!
after returning tests with answers
thank you

You should just be able to boot from the USB device and have the openSUSE installer run. With the usb sitck plugged in, reboot the Mac, press Alt/Option key while the Mac is restarting, then choose the USB stick to boot from.
