Looks like my account was reset. Why is that? Why can I not edit my most recent post? Thanks for your help.
Uh oh, now it looks like all my posts have been deleted… Can an admin research and tell me what’s going on with my account? Thanks.

This forum software only allows editing of posts for 10 minutes after initial creation.

OK, thanks. I kindly put in a vote to remove that restriction.
But you did read the reason for it?
Yes, thanks for the link. I still gently disagree. But that’s OK. This forum has been very helpful for me.
@invalid_user_name flag the post you want edited and we can sort it out. But the restriction will remain…
Why?
Editing a post after it has replies could invalidate those replies because the original information changed. Posting a follow up reply with additional/changed information allows any previous reply to stay in context.
I do not see this as a valid reason:
I visit also other forums that have a much longer time-out and never saw any problem with it while I semi-frequently read my own messages back and want to correct a spelling error or add additional information I found.
We appreciate the feedback - truly, we do. However, we’ve made the decision that this is the way in which we are going to operate these forums.
No need, I’m happy to abide by the 10 minute limitation. I’ll adapt. Thanks to you admins for running a great forum. It’s been super helpful for a Tmblwd newbie like me.
