I'm looking for a specific Icon Dock bar (OS X like)

I’ve seen a real nice dockbar in some screenshot on Gnomelook.org but I can’t seem to find it or at least know what the name is.

This is the one on the bottom of the screen :

Preview FireDragon

Anyone knows the name of this dock bar ?

Hi
That looks like a customized cairo-dock, it’s in the packman
repository. Just use YaST software management to install.

I’m not sure it is because I’m using the cairo dock myself but it’s not at all the same and looks more ugly.

The one on the screenshot looks much better.

I believe it is. If you install the themes pack in Yast then choose the @Bryt theme or @Tux_n_Tosh, that’s what it looks like.

Good Luck,

Ian

It looks great. I wish something like that existed for KDE 4.2.X…

I used cairo for a while, but I’m now a definite docky (gnome-do subsystem) convert. Give it a try; although note that if the performance is terrible it might need tweaking - try using Option “MigrationHeuristic” “greedy” in the Device section of xorg.conf. (Apparently works for KDE too!)

You can still use it for KDE 4.x, you just have to manually configure the launchers to launch the kde applications instead of the Gnome applications.

Yes… Got it.
You’re right, it is the cairo-dock.
I was using some other theme for this which looked horrible.
I changed it to Tux n Tosh and now it looks the same as the one on the screenhot.

How stupid could I be not playing with the themes :shame:

I’m using cairo dock in KDE 4.2.2. Just use yast to install it and its plugins. The plugins are the key to the different cool options like that in the picture. That guy was using a parabolic theme.
