Im about to put 3 rounds into this thing!!!

I just installed clamav and klamav. I’m using suse 10.3 and KDE.

In my system tray I have 3 icons for the clam, I right click them hit exit to no avail… How do I get these things out of my system tray!

                    Thanks,
                     S

Could you not kill multiple instances of the process in KSysGaurd?

Last version of linux I messed with was RH9, so give me the play by play killing those clams!!!

             THANKS

  • Also I’m not sure I have three instances of it running, I think I might just have 3 icons for it in the system tray. i.e. if I enable auto-update on one of the icons it shows enabled on all 3 icons (if that makes sense).

Here are the steps:
(1) Get a 45 revolver
(2) Point it at the screen
(3) pull trigger three times

Yea, any other ideas lol

Turn off some auto scan feature & they should close.

And the keys CTRL + ESC will display all processes in a GUI

aas pointed out above, you could kill the process in ksysguard. but, unless you are running a server or anything which shares files to windows machines…is there a need for anti-viruses?

If you have email contacts with users or windows, you would unwittingly be a virus vector. So the socially responsible thing is to have a virus scanner. But I can’t find one that works for me in Linux without a WHOLE LOT of inconvenience. Tried this one but didn’t have the requisite university qualifications. So I don’t have one.
